Professor Lung-Ji Chang is a tenured professor at the University of Florida, a National Distinguished Expert recognized by the Central Talent Work Coordination Group, a Beijing Overseas High-Level Talent, an awardee of the Shenzhen Peacock Plan, and President of the Shenzhen Geno-immune Medical Institute. Professor Chang has long been dedicated to translational research, development, and application in gene and immune cell therapy. He participated as the US representative in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) cancer and AIDS research program, and serves as a standing advisory committee member of the cell and gene therapy evaluation and review group of the US Food and Drug Administration. He currently serves as Core R&D Director of Beijing Meikang Geno-immune Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

His research interests span the invention and development of lentiviral vector systems, gene therapy applications and clinical studies, development and clinical studies of immune cell technologies for cancer and infectious diseases, stem cell clinical application research, studies of immune effector cells and related immune regulatory factors, and cell and gene therapies. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of Current Gene Therapy, has published over 150 SCI papers and monographs, and has filed more than 30 patent applications. He is recognized internationally as a leading expert in immunology, gene therapy, stem cells, T cells, virology, and cancer therapy research.
